Notes:
Eefje started playing guitar and singing at the age of 12, performing for family and during musical nights at her school. Her first public performance was on Saturday July 1st 2000, when she performed a cover of Tory Amos with a friend during the ‘Moordrecht 2000’-festival in the village, where she grew up.
After this, she started writing her own material and performing
at school and at ‘Zing’: annual choral singing days, organised by her father in
‘Vredenburg’ Utrecht. Eefje started playing guitar and singing at the age of 12, performing for family and during musical nights at her school. This demo contains the first studiorecordings of her, brother Paul produced in his home studio, which was under construction at that point. Approximately 5 CD-R copies were made and spread among members of her family. This copy was given to me for the purpose of radio-broadcasting. An offer by brother Paul to remaster these tracks was blocked on the insistance of Eefje early 2010, at which point it was also decided to shelve these demos from further radio use.
Most of the arrangements were made by Paul and are mainly Funk and R’n’B-styled, though ‘Bussum’ already contains sounds and styles familiair with that of her debut album of 2011. ‘Things I Do’ was arranged as a complete track, which was used for her performance with schoolband ‘Temporary’, with whom she won the first edition of ‘Goudsche Courant Live Music Awards’ in 2003.
As all tracks are untitled, the unknown tracks are alternatively titled and marked with*.
